Jim Roth

Jim Roth is a member of the Energy & Natural Resources Practice Group and Chair of the Clean Energy Practice Group with A New Energy, LLC. He represents individuals and both publicly-owned and private companies in a range of business, energy and environmental issues, as well as a variety of public policy and regulatory matters.
He served as an Oklahoma Corporation Commissioner, by Appointment of Governor Brad Henry and prior to that appointment was elected to consecutive four-year terms as Oklahoma County Commissioner. He is a member of the Oklahoma, Kansas and American Bar Associations and is a Past-President of the National Association of Civil County Attorneys.
Additionally, Jim served as the Dean of the Oklahoma City University School of Law from 2018 to 2023. Roth is an alumnus of OCU Law, earning his Juris Doctor degree in 1994. He also holds graduate certificates from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government, the United States Air War College’s National Security Forum at Maxwell Air Force Base, and the Institute of Public Utilities at Michigan State University.
